This web page acknowledges allegiance to the Supreme Assembly, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, whose seat of authority is in McAlester, Oklahoma, of which Reverend W. Mark Sexson was the founder and Mrs. Marie Renda (2006-2008) is Supreme Worthy Advisor, and to the Grand Jurisdiction of Texas of which Mrs. Marlene Dibrell, is our Supreme Deputy, and Sister Shelley Ashcraft (2007-2008) is our Grand Worthy Advisor.

History: Del Rio Assembly #351 was Instituted on May 30, 1970 and had to operate for one year before receiving its Charter and Number. At that time the Worthy Advisor was Miss Cindy Hutto and the Mother Advisor, Mrs. Martha Howard. However, in less than one year, the Assembly was doing so well that on March 27, 1971 it was given its Charter and Number. The Constituting Ceremony was conducted by Mrs. Martha Marie Whitfield, Supreme Service and Supreme Inspector in Texas. At the time of the ceremony, the Assembly received its official name and number, "Del Rio Assembly #351", International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Miss Kim Howard was serving as Worthy Advisor and Mrs. Martha Howard, Mother Advisor.
In addition to those participating in the Constituting, the following were present: Miss Jacqueline Carswell, Grand Worthy Advisor; Mr. Victor C. Whitfield, Chairman of Grand Executive Committee; Mrs. Pearl Mills, Member of the Grand Committee on Work; Mr. Hubert Mills; Mrs. Bebe Hilmer, Mother Advisor San Antonio #3 Assembly and Dennis and Rhonda Hilimer. After three years, we received our first Grand Appointment, Kim Howard, Jr. Member of the Grand Finance Committee, Grand Assembly of Texas, I.O.R.G. Since that time we have received 10 other appointments ... three of which were Grand Floor Appointments. Our present Grand Appointment is Brandy Matteson, Jr. Member of the Grand Finance Committee. We have had 14 Mother Advisors, one having served 6 years ... Mrs. Jackie Cannon, and several of the others served two and three years. Except for two 'lean" years in the late 1960's, the assembly has been very active. We have participated in many civic functions, Amsted Fiesta Parade, assisted the Lion's Club with charity projects, as well as many other worthwhile projects.
On March 30, 1991 the Assembly celebrated its 20th
Anniversary by having a banquet at the Masonic Lodge in Del Rio, Texas. Mrs.
Pearl Mills, Supreme Inspector; Mr. Hubert Mills, Chairman Grand Executive
Committee; Mrs. Janell Trees, Grand Visitor and Mr. Jerry Trees were present.
There were four Charter members and six past Mother Advisors also present.
Forty-five total were in attendance. We have made wonderful memories and look
forward to many more years sharing the beauty of Rainbow.
